orange peel

Painted my engine bay last week everything came out pretty good except for the firewall and the top of the fire wall way to much orange peel tried to sand it but there is way to much . Should I reclear or is there anything esle I could do?

Sand it with 1500 grit wet sandpaper and buff then orange peel gone.

I  started with 800 and went to 1500 still the fire wall looks terrible

I doubt adding more clearcoat will help. There may be a underlying problem.

Is it orange peel or did it fisheye? I would say wet sand it with 600 and try not to hit the color. If you hit the color you'll know because you see the sandpaper pick it up. Once your done then clear in again and use a little bit of reducer in your clear, spray with some heat lamps and maybe try a slower reducer. Should come out like glass. Good Luck!
