    Came across this problem tonight

    While trying to install new Hemi. ON steering column where roll pin ghoes through knuckle on pump. Tangs that hold dust shield and boot on knuckle are worn out. ALso boot is shot. Where can I get a replacement knuckle and new boot?

    I bought mine from steer & gear, but there are a couple other places that sell it. The seal really doesn't do a good job of keeping the dust out of the grease and the grease is too thick to come out when turning, so you could probably leave it like it is....however, it isnt that hard of a job so I would just replace it.

    Is ther eany reason to worry about it hampering the steering? What is worst case without fixing?

    If you don't replace that seal and cover, dirt and water will mx with your grease.
