What type of body sealant is everyone using? The original stuff was like a clay like strip, anything new that is better?

Chrysler used body sealer along the complete fender lip.  It was put there during assembly and ended up painted body color.  Here is a couple of pics from an untouched 70 Challenger and an untouched 73 Challenger.  If you don't have it on your car I would not add it now.  The underhood section of your car looks too nice to chance messing it up.

Thanks for the pics and the advice. Can you tell by looking at  MY PICS if  it could be sealant under the paint that we see between the cowl & the fender?

It is hard to tell from the size of your pics.  It looks like it has some marks; maybe a brush mark where it was applied.  It will look like dryed bath tile caulk.  I am curious....why the concern?

Just bought the car. It's a frame up restoration. The restoration was completed 6 years ago. I don't know much about body works and :clueless: I was curious about that! Thanks!
