Just a tid-bit of info here. A comment was made earlier in this string about sand blasting warping the hood. That is correct--if you use sand. The warping comes from the heat generated by the sand contacting the sheet metal surface at such a high rate of speed. Solution--use a much lower air pressure and keep the distance at a maximum to effectively remove the paint. The best media to use for removing paint is plastic beads. NO HEAT. NO PITTING (like sand) and no silica. I know of local vendors in my area who will come to your site--erect a tent (with a floor inside) roll your car inside and blast it to bare metal in no time. Absolutely beautiful job, very little clean up and, above all, extremely reasonable.
