1970 Challenger SE question
« on: May 17, 2006 - 10:01:16 PM »
The chrome trim pieces that surround the tailight lens.....I have seen repros that are solid chrome and some chrome with a black edge.

So what would be correct for a 70 Challenger RT/SE?

Thanks,
stuart

PS has anyone got a pic they can post?

Not sure if you can see in this pic, but its a survivor so should be correct.

Im pretty sure the chrome/black is correct (as opposed to solid chrome)

They should be chrome with a black edge, but the black paint can peel off over the years.

when I got my car one of the exhaust tips was a little crooked.
so today I straightened it which led to polishing the tips, which led to the bumper, which led to around the tail lights...you know the drill. Anyways I got some better pics for you.

Do you mean the chrome on top of the surround? I can see traces of black there.
Is the idea that only the flat "face" should be chromed?

I`m talking about the thin pot metal chrome around the tailights, not the trim panel above the lights
