V5X code on window sticker??

I noticed on my window sticker, it shows a "V5X VINYL MOULDING"  I found the V5X on my build sheet on line 2 in the stripe "K 1st" box and the "V 2nd" box is empty.  I'm taking a guess that X means black??  I know that some 72's had the wide stripes on the side, but did they put black stripes on black cars then?  I know they did black on black billboards ect. on earlier years.  Could someone enlighten me on this??

 V5 was an aluminum body side molding with a rubber insert which was colored. X does mean black.

  I agree with Barry.  You can see it on my car in the avatar.

My build sheet for my Challenger looks the same as I have the V5X code and the second box is empty.

I assume that you're talking about Barracudas though as far as the stripes go.  I do believe they did put black stripes on black cars that year and subsequent years.

Here's a pic of a black on black '73 Barracuda, assuming it's stock.  You can just barely make out the stripe.  '72s had a thinner stripe that followed up the rear haunches up the quarters.

Thanks guys.  I think thats one factory original feature I'll leave off.  I'm not planning on going back totally original, but somewhat close.  I just like the smooth look on those black 'Cudas with lots of chrome.  Kinda like the forum member Blackcuda's car below. I'll be going for basically the same look, just with ralleye wheels, 'Cuda hood, and probably no hockey stripe since I'll have my numbers 318.  (Of course if I happen to decide on a 340 and storing the 318, that decision might change  )
