Latest pics of our Cudas.
« on: May 27, 2006 - 07:18:36 PM »
My wife and I attended a pretty neat little car show in Mount Ida, Arkansas. The show is ran by a Mopar guy that has a warehouse full of hemi and six-pack cars so they get a pretty good Mopar turnout. We managed to finish first and second in the Mopar class. They take a pic of your car on the way in and put the pic on the trophy. Thought I would share the pics with you. My car looks a little better with the new Boyd Coddington wheels. I think I'll put those rallyes in storage for a while. I like this car show since it's a beautiful drive throught the Ouchita forest.

Awesome hotrod. Congrats!   Wish I would've known about that show, I'd have been there.  Is there someplace good to find out about all the car shows that happen in AR?

I have a couple of sheets with a list of car shows in this part of the U.S. I'll see if I can scan them and send them to you next week. What part of Arkansas are you in. We live near I-40 at the Arkansas-Oklahoma border between the Ouchita mountains and the Ozark mountains. We always go up to the Branson show in August. It's the 10th, 11th and 12th. We also go to the Monster Mopar show in St. Louis and the Mopar show at Heartland Park in Topeka in the fall. We haven't been to the nats in a while since they fall on the same weekend as the Branson show and Branson's only a couple of hours away. We hope to have the hemi challenger convertible done in time to drive it up this year. I'll probably leave my red car at home unless my son decides to drive it up but my wife won't go anywhere without her green car.
She just sets the cruise control and sits back and enjoys the drive.
My biggest thrill is the shaker hood that I put on last summer. I love watching that bubble shake and move when you hit the throttle. I'm like a kid with a new toy.

I live about 30 minutes north of Conway.  It would be cool if we got to meet up at a show sometime.  You have some great looking cars.  Wish mine was done to join you, but it'll be a long time for that.  You do restoration for a living right?  Your close enough to me, I might have to come check out your operation, and maybe get some tips, if I ever get some free time.

I own a company called Maniac Musclecars that I currently operate out of my home shop plus I manage a body shop at a dealership. We also do restoration and complete high end paint jobs through the dealership as well. Mostly what we do is what I like to call resto-mod. Since we've decided to start the daytona and later the superbird parts reproduction business, we are buying land in an industrial park in the small town where we live to build a new restoration facility. We will do everything from complete resto's to just panel replacement. We will be warehousing some of the finished wing car components there as well. We've just been approached by a hotrod builder to start building some of his fiberglass body components. He has built cars for a lot of celebrities including one of the members of ZZ Top.
We're already booked up for the next three years and we haven't even signed the papers on the land yet.
When we get the new place built, I'll get with you and you can drive over and check it out.
