romove the roll pin from the coupler & pry it up with a tie rod pickle fork , you will need to drop the column to do this , split the center link from the pitman arm & undo the 3 bolts holding the box to the K frame

Chryco......The pin was jammed in the coupler.  Can it be drilled out?  As for dropping the column, do mean unbolt it from the firewall?

That pin doesn't stand a chance to be jammed if you use the right size punch. Or just get a steel rod or bolt or anything smaller in diameter than that hole and drive it out with a big hammer.   Unbolt the column from the firewall AND the 2 7/16 bolts at the dash support.

All....Thanks for the advise.  I'll work on it again.  Note the pin's head was driven down in the coupler.  I'll find a small hole punch a drive it out.  If need be I'll use the bigger hammer theroy.  ;D
