Newbie from Alaska
« on: May 27, 2006 - 08:15:11 PM »
Just another Newbie checking in.  I live in Alaska and I just purchased my first e-body as a replacement for the 69 coupe that I was building for my wife.  She has big plans which means lots of work for me but it will be a fun car when we are done.

As it sits now it is a 73 Barracuda that was a 318.  Under the hood is now a 440 that is fairly mild and very fresh.  The body has the usual e-body rust but the PO was a very stand up fella and threw in the new quarters, wheel housings, and trunk floor.  All of them were still in the boxes.  There was a ton of other parts too so I'm excited to get started.  This will be my third restoration so I do have some experience and if anyone out there needs assistance with A-body cudas, drop me a line.

I'll attach a few pics for you guys.  Thanks for the cool site.

Thanks for the welcome guys.  I'm in Juneau, Alaskan_T/A.   Just a bit north.  Hopefully this project will go off without too many snags along the way.

With any luck I'll have a Tim Banning Hemi on order soon.  www.forhemisonly.com

Cool! A couple of pals (Challenger owners) are there today, enjoying a cruise for their 25th wedding anniversary. Their ship stops here Monday.
