hellwig rear sway bar
« on: June 15, 2006 - 04:43:32 PM »
:swear:  anyone else have a problem with the supplied long frame bracket for the rear sway bar being to short?? The front was a perfect fit the rear is ok after you make a new bracket as the one supplied is 1 1/2" to short to mount the sway bar on without being at such an angle that it will destroy the poly bushings in a week.
Lousy customer service too. Tried calling and all they said was oh well use the little L bracket, not enough support with those and affraid it will end up ripping the frame after a few months. sure wish quickor suspension was still in business.

Yeah I had the same prob on mine I ended up drilling straight through and reinforceing the "L" bracket with 1/4" steel plate on the other side of frame.  I had more probs with the front as I don't have the factory sway bar attachments..Actually only have on one side..I suspect a repair over the years.

Good luck
