  'CUDA IN A BOX!

Well, I finally got around to getting all those interior parts boxed up to store away till I get done with all the sheetmetal work, ect.  I was very pleased to find all my panels (door and rear) in exellent shape.  Maybe 2 very small scratches total, and NO deteriation at all.  The only negative is the speaker holes in the door panels, but I'll just put some speakers back in.  I won't even have to do any resto on them.  Just clean 'em up real good!  :bananasmi

I'm not fortunate to have an enclosed shop right now, but the car is at least in my well covered carport.  An added drawback to not having it "inside" is I live right on a busy highway, and whenever its uncovered, people are constantly stopping bye. "Is it for sale?"  In which of course, I reply with a sarcastic laugh, "NOPE!"  :grinno: I've had it uncovered for about a week now while I was taking the interior out, and I can't remember how many people stopped.  One guy stopped today, and stayed for a good hour.  He knew his stuff, but he also made a statement that concerned me a bit....  he said, "I don't want to scare you, but theres a lot of high dollar parts here that some people might want to steal"  I thought, "No shlt sherlock, you think about it and I'll rip your head off and *#@$ down your neck!"  :nono:  Needless to say, All the loose parts are boxed and stored AWAY and now the car covered back up, and is sitting up on jack stands to make it just a little more difficult to steal.  I sure am thankful that we are very good friends with our neighbors, and they keep a pretty good eye on things for me when I'm not around.
One good thing came out of a "fly by" is a guy that lives maybe a mile from me stopped, and I found out he has a '70 440 'Cuda.  I haven't went by to see it yet, but I'm going to soon as I get a chance, and I'll try to take some pics if he'll let me.  He also said he had some parts, so I'll have to check that out too.
All in all, I met some nice people, some wierd people, and some Mopar freaks.  It was also kinda fun to sort of gloat with that "I got one and you don't" sort of image.   :cooldancing:  I was a nice person though, I promise.  I Don't want to give us Mopar fanatics a bad rep!
