73 Challenger, 833 tranny leak: Help!
« on: July 20, 2006 - 06:04:34 PM »
I have a pretty good leak coming from my 4-speed tranny where the driveshaft connects. If you sit and watch it, you can see it drip about once a second.

Ugh.

Please tell me this is most likely a basic seal that can be replaced by simply removing the driveshaft and replacing the seal.

<fingers crossed>

in most cases yes , try to get the mopar seal with the dust boot , there is a bushing in there too & if it is worn the yolk may be moving arund in there & making it harder to seal  so push up & down on the ylok yo see if it has any significant movement
