Craigslist
« on: June 11, 2006 - 11:07:56 PM »
I am thinking about listing some of my Chebbie parts on Craigslist.
Has anyone else done this and is it free??
If it is free how does Craigslist make any money??

Just want to free up some cash and rid myself of the chevy menace that threatends to engulf me in cheap broken parts

Some day I will be Mopar pure but for now I might as well make a buck on GM

I've bought and sold a bunch of stuff on Craigslist, it's very easy to setup, and you can upload up to 4 pics of your items and it's all free!

Craigslist is more popular in some areas more than others. Seems to be popular here on the west coast. I've sold parts through it. Yes, it's free to advertise.

Not free in all cities.  San Francisco is $ for some items.

Good place to sale items.
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

CODY what items do they charge you for selling? It should be free.
I live in the San Francsico Bay area, so I use the San Francisco Bay area Craigslist to buy and sell various items all the time and have never had to pay anything.  :dunno:

 Here's some info from Craigslist,
  craigslist factsheet
Q: What is craigslist?
A: Local community classifieds and forums - a place to find jobs, housing, goods & services, social activities, a girlfriend or boyfriend, advice, community information, and just about anything else -- all for free, and in a relatively non-commercial environment.

I like craigslist and have had good luck with it.  :clapping:  I have used it to post jobs available and to find itmes I needed for the car.

About 3 months ago I was posting a job avaialble and it gave me a total due.  I do not know when it started, but if you want to post a job opening in SF, it cost $75 now.  I hope this is not a sign of what is to come.

Select one of the boxes and see the price.

I have sold my mom's car and some other stuff on craigslist and right now trying to sell my father's motorhome!! and yes it is TOTALLY FREE!! to buyer AND seller!! the only downfall is that you MUST remember to repost every 7 days because they take the listing down after 7 days!! but I have had good luck with that listing service!! they probably don't worry about making money because they are a part of E-BAY!! I also use it to search for parts for my car all the time!
** Cody I think the job thing is different then the stuff for sale They want to charge prospective employers to list jobs!!

Wow that sucks. I'd ask them why the charge when they say it's all totally free!
