I noticed in some previews to the film 'Just Married' with Ashton Kutcher (that 70's show) driving a purple 70 challenger. anyone else notice ?

Some food for thought:

How about a "Vanishing Point' Run tracing the route Kowalski originally used ? There's a scene at a Sheriff Command center that shows some of the local highway #'s and the rest could probably be figured out...

I've seen the movie Vanishing Point. Now can anyone tell me what the name of the other movie was when the guy has to race across the desert to be with his wife who is having a baby. I've seen it a while ago on Speed Vision and missed the name of the movie. It also had a white Hemi Challenger.

A made for TV remake in 1997 starring Viggo Mortensen as Jimmy Kowalski. Steve Railsback of Helter Skeltter fame did a good job as the cop and had the black 1968 Charger as the chase car. The memorial line "It takes a Mopar to catch a Mopar" was uttered by him. The movie is a real gagfest and is best to give it a wide berth. Unless you really wanna laugh.

;D ;D ;D Yeah that was the FOX remake. A station in D.C. replayed it a couple of Sunday's ago. It was neat seeing the Charger chase the Challenger. The plot was different, but dare I say better ;)

Yeah... lame plots but great car chases!!!  ;D

I believe this phrase was seen in the remake...

My Girlfriend, Yes. My dog, maybe. My Dodge, NEVER!

Yet another "yes it was a camaro fact" When the car hits the bulldozers if you take a close look at the hood there are no scoops on the bonnet it is flat white not the buldge hood. Loved the Movie both are good the first has less crap and the second has more, eg: In the 1996 remake Kowalski makes about another "10" gear changes.........When hes doing highway speeds  ;D Better car shots in the second one but you can't beat the first film because it's it's well it's a cult classic  8) Also in the dessert shot in the 1971 movie he appears to be driving a Right Hand drive vehicle???? That is just weird  ???

I have to say I like the remake better

the first one has too much drug use and it's shown in
a good light, like he's cool for poppin pills
lets not even discuss the opening girl on the motorcycle
scene

she has a stupid flower child made up for '71 movie name like eagle grass lite toes or something but
if you squint she kinda looks like Jane Curtin
MMmmmmmmmmmmmm
Any VP fans know who she was???
