73 Cuda Factory Air Shock Option?
« on: June 15, 2006 - 05:26:36 PM »
 ???

Was there a factory-installed rear air shock option on the 73 Cuda...???
My rear valence actually has 'flats' formed into the lower portion of the valence, about 1 inch in from bottom front lip, and centered just inside the exhaust cutouts, and the separate air valves/tubing to each shock are mounted in those formed flat areas. There are little plastic push-in tubing holders located around each side, up frame rail and up to top of shock.

I'll try to get a shot or two showing the setup.

Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

No e bodies came with air shocks.  I have a '73 Cuda and a '70 Challenger and both have air shocks with the valves located in about the same place.  The cuda, it is behind the license plate and the Chally it is in the trunk in about the same area.
My Cuda valance also has the area that you describe, but I just have empty holes there.

But by 1976 all E-bodies had them...  Most Camareos and Ferberds too    :roflsmiley:
