Saw a Viper wreck today
« on: October 06, 2006 - 08:15:41 PM »
I heard a loud bang and walked to my ground floor office window this afternoon to see a very sad sight. A new black Viper had been hit hard from behind.  It looked doubtful that it could be repaired but you never know.   Once I knew no one was hurt I started thinking about all the great parts on that car!

Man that sucks. Sounds like it wasn't the Viper driver's fault, right? When I get my Cuda done, I'm going to be too afraid to take it out because of all the knuckleheads on the road.

We had 3 vipers totaled in one day while we were in Vegas last week (Sept 26th).  One was on the way to Las Vegas speedway, one on the track and the other on the way back to the hotel.
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Speaking of Vipers. Here is one that hit a deer. There was not a lot of damage but the bill was still $30,000.00 :crying:The bad thing is parts are like finding muscle car parts.Mopar has discontinued some of the parts for them also. 15,000.00 for a hood!!!!!!!!!

 I saw one wreck outside my house.  It was a red convertible.  The guy (who must have been late forties) got on it as he turned the corner.  Over corrected twice spun out against the curb and broke the rear axle away from the frame.   :smilielol: He was showing off for a teenager in the car.  Then he tried to drive away as if nothing had happen. The funny part my three kids age five, 3 1/2 and 1 were standing at the window watching a bird in our front yard when this guy wipes out in front of us.  I really wanted to go out and tell the guy what a corn cob he was.  After reflecting what he was going to have to tell the insurance company happened I decided he learned the hard way what a tube he had been.  Took two hours for a tow truck to come out and then the guy called another tow truck to move the vehicle.  In the mean time the guy tried to drive it again and chewed up some gears in his tranny.

:money: Some guys are just born winners.   :cooldancing:

I was watching Unique Rides? on tv last year and they did up a Viper including an extra wide seat for this big guy. He promptly took it out and spun out into someone's front yard!  Top Gear tested one and loved it although they had a few warnings for drivers.  I guess hey can bite you pretty quick. I'll take my chances if I ever get my hands on one.
