vacuum advance

with my intial at 15* and mechanical at 34* at 2500rpm should i have the vacuum advance hooked up  i think it was 45*at 2500 with it hooked up.

Unless it's a true racer. Of course, you'll have to adjust a few items...lol, but it will run better, for longer, and get better milage. that may not be a concern for you.

I virtually always increase milage with it disconnected

its a street 340 in a challenger,the distriber is a mopar performance. what do i need to do ?

You can adjust the mech advance if it a mopar performance dis.

experiment
try disconnecting the vacuum advance & setting total timing at 38* at 3000 rpm & see if it runs better & cooler , if not og the other way & connect the vacuum & adjust the advance to lengthen the curve again
