Best Parts Site
« on: June 23, 2006 - 09:48:49 AM »
I am having a hard time comparing the various sites for quality and accuracy of the reproduction. I know there are many more sites out there but those are the ones I have bought from so far. If you have any recommendations beyond these choices I am sure that would benefit everyone. Thanks for your participation!

Yes, and perhaps not the best web-sight but, I think they have better pricing than Yearone. They do car show curcuits and often have a huge crowd lining-up at thier space.

Yes, I just got some stuff yesterday that I had ordered from them. I did try to call them a couple of times the day before and for some reason I couldn't get an answer.

RT's customer service doesn't seem to be the best.  I ordered something and was told it would be shipped the next day, I got it 2 weeks later after calling twice.  They do seem to have good prices and parts though.  For interior items, I haave used Legendary, better prices and shipping than Year One or Paddock and they all seem to use the same suppliers for a lot of parts.

Year One also uses extra padding on their part prices also.

Year One    big catalogs, excellent customer service but not the best prices-watch for the sales.
Legendary is the source for seat covers and interior panels, deal direct.
Keep in mind a lot of the parts houses get their stuff from the same manufacturer.I can buy the same sheet metal from a local auto parts/body shop supply store (Astro,Keystone etc.) that any resto dealer can and get it delivered to my house next day for less $.I`d deal with someone local for resto parts but the only one in this area in Jim`s and I won`t deal with him again ever!!!( OK we won`t go there again)  :bricks1:

I voted for Mancini racing.  Great place and close enough to drive and pick up my parts!   :icon16:

We have one out here near us that's not too bad. www.themoparshop.com
They may not be a big seller, but they have a good selection.

I've dealt with Year One, Mancini Racing, R/T Specialties and MagnumHP so far and they've all seemed to be very well with their delivery time and customer support.

Year One - Over 50+ orders and only 2 or 3 errors (delivered the wrong item to my house, they picked it up, no charge & threw in some free decals in my correct order). IMO the best customer service I have dealt with, also Anobrite has excellent professional service. Year One may have some higher priced products than other stores but their selection, service, fast shipping & packing more than make up for the on average $0-$20 overprice products.

When you're ordering from overseas you want the fastest shipping, reliability, professional one-on-one service and guarantee, Year One offers this and more. One thing that could be improved is an "out of stock" sign next to their products so you know then-&-there if you'll have to wait for back order parts, apart from that, first class.
