Clock Reset Connection Help
« on: June 26, 2006 - 09:50:29 PM »
Hi guys,

I had my clock updated with the quartz conversion over the winter.  I am now putting the dash back together and having the hardest time connecting the dash clock reset tube to the back of the clock. Can anyone enlighten me as to how the two connect....ie, push together, screw together. It seems like it should be a simple connection but I am baffled at this point.  Thanks

Yep...should screw in. Line the slot in the tube up with the flattened shaft (like a screwdriver tip) that is in the clock body. The barrel nipple on the end of the tube is threaded and should just screw home.
All the best - at least you have a clock. I took my dash out yesterday to sort a couple of things out and have found the reason the clock doesn't work is that its a cheap battery operated one that was just fitted onto the shaft that drives the clock hands - sheesh!! As soon as the battery went flat that was the end of telling time in my car.  :pullinghair: You'd  think guys doing behind dash repairs would  kinda want to make 'em permanent???
