Donuts & Burnouts??
« on: April 21, 2006 - 05:50:43 PM »
Finally got around to installing a video capture card in my PC. This wmv clip is from May 1992 at the "Mopars at the River" event at Temple Academy Dragway near Temple, TX. My father was taking the video. That's me in the white '68 Charger.

I apologize for the momentary "jump" - We thought the guy was through with his burnout...BUT he was still doing donuts in the cloud of smoke!!!

As you can imagine, he was the winner that year!

Not too bad....need more fling the car around though....straight-line burnouts... :lol2:

Do they ever do the closed burnout comps in the States? I've never seen one.... :clueless:
Where they put barriers up or road blocks in a big square about the size of a small house poperty, through a car in and let them spin and fling the car all over the place. Figure 8 burnouts at high speed, rubber everywhere.....real good burnouts!

Nice video, Sinister68!  I was waiting to see your car go up to do the burnout!

Cool video, NZ!  I liked the car that had the rear tire on fire about 20 seconds into the video!
