    476 Head porting.

    I have a Porting Template for 3614476 casting "B" heads.  Are they good heads?  Should I look for a set instead of the 906 set I currently have or does someone have a use for the templates ?

    I have never seen a 476 casting big block head ,sure thet is the correct # ?

    Can't say as I've ever seen one, but they're listed as Stage 4 heads.  And I have the template, it has "B" ENGINE          PORTING TEMPLATES 3614476 CASTING          P 4120437 printed on it. :clueless:

    OK, not a production head , the Stage 4 were the early performance heads & the templates would be specific to those heads , if you can find a set the they will definatly be better than the 906

    This is from mopar.com, "P4120437   *Porting Template — 2.08/1.74 Valve Size, Cast Iron Head (Big Block Production Heads) ".

    As far as I know the template should work for atleast 346,  452 and 902 heads, (mayby 906 and those 476 stage 4 heads too). Templates are only for pocket porting and those should be similar in big block heads?

    Atleast I have bought that template too and I intended to use it on my 452 heads. And that porting template is the only one I have ever found on the internet and atleast in that porting article in the moparmusclemagazine they used some commercially available porting templates..

    Someone correct if I am wrong.
