Jeepin' pics I got stuck.
« on: July 06, 2006 - 08:59:11 AM »
Took out the Jeep for the first time (in the river) and this is what happened.  I guess I have a little transfer case linkage work to do.  I was only in 2 Wheel drive and with those aggressive tires, I dug right down.  I had fun though!!

Yeah...it is an El Camino with a 454!

As far as a snorkel...I have the fresh air coming from under the dash.  I just hooked a hose to the air cleaner, and fabricated a bracket that hooks to the firewall with a hole in it to keep from sucking in water.  We have done this on the Jeeps for years...works really good that way...and is a lot cheaper than a snorkel!  :2thumbs:

Cool, sounds like it will definitely do the job alright!
Good to see you having fun with it as that's why you purchased it and the reason you gave us when you got it.

Very cool pics!  Looks like fun!

If you want to have fun Challenger style you'll need one of these:

1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

Pic #2 and 3 of my ARII 1/24 scale model car

I am still trying to figure out what everything is.  Come to find out, everything the guy told me when I bought it wasn't true, but I still got a pretty good deal.  It is a Chevy 350, Accell Distributor, Holley 750. Jeep 3 speed trans (don't remember exactly which one) and I believe all stock 1975 Jeep axles..but I am trying to confirm that.  The clutch that I had to buy to get the slave cylinder to work was out of a 1982 Camaro 6cyl, or a Manza?  I am going to try to get it licensed tomarrow, wish me luck!
