Cuda Pics just before moving to CT
« on: September 02, 2006 - 11:22:19 AM »
Last night, an enclosed car carrier came to pick up my Cuda and old truck, and will drop them off in Farmington, CT.  I can't wait to relocate there from Kansas.  On the downside, I'm really going to miss my buddy Gary, who showed me how to do so many things to my barracuda.  But we'll fly him up from time to time.  Just before the car carrier arrived, we snapped some pics, and even convinced my wife to get in one.

Pic 1 has my auto mechanic mentor, Gary, on the left and me on the right
Pic 2 and 3 are of course my barracuda
Pic 4 is all my wife saw of Gary and I for a year or so
Pic 5 is my whole world, my wife, my barracuda, and my buddy

There is also a short video clip here:

Great pics Zerf!  You're a happy looking bunch!   So how long will it be before you are re-united with your car?

Hey I know that hood.   :grinyes: Man that Cuda looks Sweet.

Good luck Zerf, glad to have met you. You'll find a lot of new MoPar friends there in CT.
Maybe I'll see you at Carlisle one of these years.

Keep in touch.  :2thumbs:

Thanks Rev-It-Up, I can't wait, I should see it again by next Monday, September 11th...hey, I hope that isn't a bad sign! :clueless:

Cudahob, I'm glad I met you too, and will definitely see you at Carlisle in the future.  I stumbled onto your website and was very impressed.  Maybe I'll see your '70 340 Cuda at Carlisle in a couple years or so? :ylsuper:

Hi inot2old, color is a good question.  The original color of the car was Deep Sherwood (G8), but the previous owner painted it purple, though I don't know the specific shade.  It's a funny kind of purple, because it looks fairly dark here, but the sun wasn't out as much as I would've liked, and when the sun is bright, it seems several shades lighter.  I've never seen a straight color of paint change so much, so your guess is as good as mine.  After a couple other minor tinkerings, my next big task will be to get all the body work done and decide on a color, and I'm changing my mind every other day it seems!   :dunno:

Thanks for the feedback.  Mopar or no car!

Nice photos and good luck with your relocation! :2thumbs:  That car really looks nice, even though it was a bummer your other project had to get bashed in by that Geo. :-\
