My buddy has 30X12.5 on his '70 Cuda.  I don't know what size wheel or backspacing.

17x9.5
305/45R17

offset hangers, rolled fender lip 6.9" backspace 3/4' spacer longer studs

without working the outer edge of the inner wheel well this works out ok. I like having the tires tuck up in the wheel well, if you don't want that look you can go wider I think with the ride height higher

I think "will 15 x 10 w/345/50/15 w/5inch backspace fit on the rear if you have a 3'' spring re-location on the back?" would work fine if you cut the wheel wells open some (the inner portion). Seems like when you get around the 29-30" diameter tires you might have to lengthen the opening of the wheel well depending on if you are going to run slicks/bias plys or they might rub on the top end at the track.
