backspacing on a magnum force suspension
« on: July 07, 2006 - 01:28:03 PM »
hi everyone,
i just purchased a 1971 challenger with a 440 sixpack. the very first day i got the car i noticed how sloppy the steering was and it scared the crap put of me because about 3 hrs. into my first drive i blew a tire and the steel belt tore up my fender and paint. now the car is in the shop getting body work and new paint and a new magnum force suspension with qa1's, new k-member, upper and lower a-arms, rack and pinion steering and eaton detroit lowered leafs. i want to put 18" rims on the car but the wheels must be custom ordered. so if anyone knows the backspacing your help would be greatly appreciated. thanks, leo

Welcome to the forum.  Most of the moderators are at Carlisle right now. But I will speak for them. We hope you stick around and share pics.

I know there was some complaints about some of the A body Magnum Force kits because they moved the tires out farther than stock, but not sure about E body ones.
