Tested 1 yesterday but I just checked to make sure the ohm reading changed all the way up the scale but didn`t look at the #s  ::)

 :) Hey Big Mike,
The readings that you got on your ohm meter are just about dead on right. The only thing I can think of is to see if the ohm meter was moving slowly as you moved the float up and down. If it was, then the fun begins :P Maybe the ground strap to the unit doesn't have a good connection. Maybe the connectors to your gas gauge are loose. I'm not sure how you would test the gauge itself. Good luck.

i'm going to replace the gauge anyway but mainly i was trying to see if the sending unit resestor was reading like it should.

see i change the sending unit line from 5/16 to 3/8 for my hemi project. i couldn't see paying about 150.00 for a sending unit i can make. i'll post pictures later.

besides the new one i bought for the duster don't work right (but i never checked the ohms)

could be the voltage regulater cuasing the gauge to read incorrectly
