TA Exhaust Mounts
« on: July 12, 2006 - 10:17:22 PM »
Hello,

I am currently putting 3" zoomies on my 1970 Challenger and was planning to use TA mounts to secure the end back of pipes. I was wonering where the mounts go on the car. The Challenger was orignally a single exhaust 318 car. WHen I went dual exhaust I had to weld up the mount for the second, so I assume I hve to weld or drill the mount for these TA hangers. I think I see where they go but I wanted to be sure. Do the go to the sides of the front of the rear subframe between the rocker panel? This would mean I would have to drill the holes on the flat piece in the passeger floorboard? Or am i mising the obvious where these things go? Thanks in advance.

These photos may help, both are from the mount on the drivers side, one shot from the front and one shot from the rear;
