Rear Finish Panel 1970 Challenger
« on: July 16, 2006 - 10:43:01 AM »
I was wondering if the rear finish panel was standard on 1970 Challengers. Mine has the holes that look like they were made for it but it is a Los Angles born bone stock 318 model. I recently spent 250 bucks to buy a slightly dinged one but when I went online tosee what they look like the pictures of 70 Challengers I saw didn't have them. I am still unsure if I want to put it on my car but I am just more curious now since I have seen it listen on ebay as a SE finsih panel. I R confused/ ???

It only came on the SE model. Usually silver argent. You don't have to use it unless you have an SE.

Yep, It only came on S/E, and possibly R/T, S/E models(not sure). I put one on my car because I like the look. Some people paint them black. That looks nice too.

...standard on Western Sport Special Challengers code A91.

Thanks Barry. That is what mine is. I guess I can't call it "bone stock" anymore. Maybe I'll fix up that finish panel then instead of welding over the mounting hole for it.

Yes... I would put it on! If you wanted to remove it later you could always do it without painting the whole car. Western Sport Specials are fairly rare... I think?? :clueless:
