Even with a carb you will still need a computer to control the spark, the new hemi doesn't have a distributor!

A carb won't perform anywhere as good as injection

I did read somewhere that the carb one and the injection one had the same Hp when tested, sure i can think that the carb one is more thirsty....

I don't agree with that, you can get just as good performance with a carb as with FI, the carb is just not as EFFICIENT as FI. I remember some time back one of the car magazines did a dyno test on an engine using both FI and a carb. When tuned to the best numbers there was virtually no difference in the horsepower or torque ratings! Now if I could remember what magazine it was! Methinks I read too durn many magazines. :clueless:

I think the carb engines when tuned properly probably make more HP,but the road manners and milage are no where near as good as EFI

You are probably right about a properly tuned carb, however, it is much easier to tune an EFI car. A carb you have to take it apart put it back together multiple times to get it right. EFI just turn on the laptop and peck away till its right, If your elevation or weather conditions change you can adjust accordingly

But then you have to have a laptop with right programs(wich dont are for free) and know how to handle it. Personally i have worked with diffrent carbs since the teens soo that feel much more natrual for me(and looks better)

I am a bit of a computer geek as well, I actually have 2 laptops..  If you really needed one you can get used ones dirt cheap that are capable of running any ECU software for a few hundred bucks.

FI provides more accurate fuel metering/delivery as well as more precise ignition timing so although I have no figures to prove it, I would expect power gains to go along with that.

It also takes alot more time/skill to get a carb tuned to max effiency and I bet that the majority of mechanics the average guy takes his car to for a tune up comes no where near it. Not only that, when you do find your engines sweet spot with FI, it doesn't lose it.
