I like the 308's, just my 2 cents for this thread.

But while we're on the subject of aftermarket heads, it would be my suggestion, that when using ANY brand or makers heads, that the last guy to touch them, or install them, is always ultimately responsible, so check them out carefully.

I've have seen good stuff "out of the box" from EDDY, but more usually, it's CRAP I wouldn't put on a "wheel barrow" rewinde, it was THAT bad.  Same goes for INDY and MOPAR stuff, some fine, some garbage.

Some thoughts on what to check on ANYBODIES heads;
Seat concentricity, contact.
Valve concentricity, contact.
V/stem to guide clrc.
V/spring seat pressure
V/spring rate as for cam application, remember "coil bind", and "seal to retainer" contact.
Casting flatness and rms finish/cometic ?
V/tip heights

anything I missed ? chime in guys !

And don't forget when installing ANYTHING, to do your valvetrain geometry checks, lest all those weird un-explainable goofy things the engine does later @ rpm that nobody can figure out. Valvespring slew rate frequency bumps and spikes, that show up on a dyno sheet they're so pronounced. Couldn't spot it on the valve tips/rocker trunions until MUCH later.

My point being, ANYBODIES, "outa the box heads" can bite us in the arse !

if springs are supplied with the heads make USre they match the specs needed for the cam you are using
