I noticided something was said about Holleys above, but I didn't read through it, but here's my .02 worth, hope it does something good..... :dunno:
Anyway, Holleys like fuel psi to be around 8 psi..... Others like less. Now, on my '69 Charger R/T that I had with 440, when I had the Holley on there #3310 (pos imo.......), the mechanical pump was pumping out 8 psi, at idle, rev it up some, and the psi went up.... But the Holley loved it..... I was worried about it possibly getting too much gas, so I put a regulator on it, and tuned it down to about 6 psi, and it hated me, and got all W*)@&^)@*%^ about it... So I said  :swear:and turned it up to 7 psi, and it was still  :stomp:about it.... So I went on up to the 8 psi, and it was back to being happy again, so I ran that.... Now, the Holley went out, thankfully, and I replaced it, but I installed the Mopar Performance 509 cam, Summit Racing double roller billet timing chain, Holley Street Dominator intake, and a Street Demon carb (the one that had a choke 750 cfm).... The Holley had a chrome fuel hard line with a fuel pressure gauge, the Demon had AN fittings, and a braided line plus filter, no gauge, so I didn't adjust the pressure, it was fine.... BTW, when I put the Holley on in place of the Carter that was shot, the Holley wouldn't fit on the intake, because the rods on it would hit the heat crossover where the factory springs for the choke fit, so I had to run a spacer plate.... I used an aluminum 4 hole that was 1" thick.... I reused the plate with the Demon, it does make a little bit of difference, plus it looks cooler     Hope this helps? :clueless:
