5 or 6 speed transmission for 1973 Dodge Challenger
« on: July 08, 2006 - 04:39:45 PM »
Hello gang.  Has anyone installed a 5 or 6 speed manuel transmission into your projects?  If so please tell me about the job and give me information regarding the manufacturer.  I want to know if it is feasable to go this route or stick with the 833A.  Thanks.

The 5 speed goes in with little or no cutting(from what I've heard). With the 6 speed, I believe you have to modify the rail between the front frame rails to fit the larger transmission.

looks like a decent system for the price , I still believe in the old 833 OD , they are cheap & strong & an easy bolt in
