Newbie Here
« on: September 19, 2006 - 08:53:37 PM »
Greetings all,

I am happy to finally be on board.  Owning a 71 Duster and 71 Challenger in my youth, I have finally found a 71 convt project car to make my own.  I have only wanted a convt challenger since I was 15.  Being 38, It's about damn time.  Besides, they are not getting any cheaper.  All the good ones are GONE! Now comes the hard part.  Engine choices, paint color, interior color, to clone or not to clone, etc.  I will post some follow ups at a later date to ask for some advice, opinions, recommendations, etc.

Todd

Welcome to the site and glad to see you got the vert you have been wanting for years. I would build it the way you want it to be as you are the one that has to drive it and be happy with it when it is done. Paint it the color you always wanted and enjoy. Just my 2 cents.

Welcome Mcghee, You have definately hit upon the right site considering what you are about to undertake. I can't imagine taking on a project like that and just don't have the where-with-all to do so. Hell - I can build a multi-user system to control an entire companies inventories, processing, assets, etc., but build a car - WOW. I am in awe at people like Rev-It-Up and (I would assume) her husband who built that stunning RT/SE that you see on this site.
