Removing 33 year old Rallye strobe stripes
« on: August 05, 2006 - 11:33:00 PM »
Anyone have any tips/advice on removing the strobe stripes from the sides of a '73 Challenger?

Is there some kind of solvent that will soften the decal without damaging the 70's-era paint?

.................. and so on, those stripes have a lot of little pieces. A heat gun and about 30 minutes a side should do it.

or the wifes hair dryer. The do sell decal remover at most auto parts/body supply stores but I would try the heat first.Use a wax and grease remover to clean off any leftover residue.
