Mopar Muscle
« on: June 10, 2003 - 09:26:42 PM »
Any one seen the recent Mopar Muscle with the Metalic Red Challenger on the front?

If you have, Did you see the Black 73 Chally with the red stripes on the side?  I love the wheel set up he has on the Chally!!!  I mean its got wide tires on the rear and still sits stock.  Does anyone have an idea of what Rim  and Tire sizes he is running?  Im guessing that the rear rims are 15x10 and the front are 15x7 or 15x8 but the real question is the tire sizes  Front im guessing that they are 235/60/15 but the rear has got to be in the 250s or wider?

havent seen the mag but maybe this will help

My SE was able to fit 275/50-r15 on 15x8 rims without any issue...  but its a TIGHT FIT !     both at the leaves and at the sheet metal

on this particular car, I dont think I could have gone any wider at all.  I have heard reports of guys doing 290's...

225/60 r15 were the same height so I put those up front.

theres a pic on here of them...   somewhere

you can fit a 275-50-15 in the rear on a 15x8 rim with a 4.5 inch back spacing. I also heard you can run a 295-50-15 with that rim but I didn't want to try . I went with the 275-50 instead of the 275-60  b/c i wanted to get some more gear out of the car and keep it lower to the ground. A 275-60 will fit though.

I'm partial to the big tire look with a factory appearance.

15 x 15 rear wheels on 31 x 18.50 Hoosiers rears

From the side you can't even tell there's monsters on the back!

you can't tell from the photo but the car has been re tubbed...8 point cage and rear ladder bars with 5 way adjustable coil overs...made to go down the track in a safe manner.  I've added a rimblow wheel & fish cap..plus 5 coats of Zanio polish for the TX9 black paint.  I'm loving it!  I need road lamps in a desperate way.

I'm pretty sure you can get a 15x10 rear end with:

6" backspacing w/stock rear end
5" backspacing w/b-body rear end.

ANd Doctor Diff's 1" rear inboard shackle kit:
