How does the dome light come off?

Don't ask me how, but there's seems to be dead bugs or something in there.
It's finally irritated me to the point of action.
How do you get the light open?
I'm assuming that it just pops open. Is the plastic usually brittle after all these years?

Yes the plastic can be brittle. There are two tabs one front one rear. chose your end & bow toward the middle & good luck
Then call Herb's for a new one

Thanks, Bullitt.
Popped right off. Stayed in one piece. Bugs-no-more. :-)
