Can all years of Challenger bumpers interchange
« on: August 12, 2006 - 10:54:25 PM »
Hi. I have a 73 Chally, but I don't like the rubber blocks on the bumpers. Will bumpers from ealier years fit without any problems?

My brother had the same situation with his 73. We swapped the brackets and bumpers with my extra set and they fit just fine. All years will interchange. The early years bumpers don't have slots for the bumper jack because they use a hook that goes under the bumper.

To make your 73 look like and earlier year Chally, you could keep your 73 bumpers. You would need to find the smaller 70-72 bumper gaurds to replace those big black things you have. The real trick is to find the earlier year bumper brackets to put on your 73 bumper.
