shorty headers, hp manifolds or, regular headers
« on: August 22, 2006 - 07:09:29 PM »
hey guys i have a 72 that will have a 68 440 with a lil work done mild cam 484/504 comp ratio 10.3 mild port and polish...... I plan to put 3" pipes on it with flowmaster super mufflers... I was wondering what type of exhuast would you recommend???? i have had headers on vehicles before and seem to have a hard time getting them not to leak .........also when i bought the car it had the full lenght headers on it but they were very hard to remove and i dont plan on puttin them back on unless someone knows a good brand..... i was hoping to go with shorty headers if possible ........ i have already bought a set of 68 hp manifolds.... but i am confused as to what to do. I dont want to hold it back any but on the other hand i know most headers are a pain in the a$$ to put on  any help would be appreciated... thanks

TTI makes a great full length header
Manifolds can make great power too But you need to be very specific about the can used to make it work

are the tti headers able to be put on without bending them or having to buy a mini starter ??

Their website says you will need a mini starter.

the TTi have the best quality & fit of any header I have used , they have 3/8" flanges & do not require bending to fit , I would use a mini starter though as they can be changed without removing the header
