What about Vanishing Point, Dirty Mary Crazy Larry, or (non-Mopar) the original Gone in 60 Seconds?  They are all awesome chase movies!

Has anyone seen the ABC made for TV movie from 1979, Hot Rod?  The movies about a guy racing a 40's Willy's that's Hemi powered  :2thumbs: after he crashes his Dodge early in the movie. If you haven't seen it...find it, it is awesome!  :ylsuper:

Yea, I saw it a long time ago, got to love a Willys with a Hemi! I'm going to have to hunt this one down this weekend, good movie  :2thumbs:
The drag race scenes were filmed at the now closed Fremont Drag strip in California (Baylands Raceway) where I spent a good part of my youth......sigh, I still miss that track.

If you look real close at the end of Vanishing Point that was not the Chally saying a high-speed hello to the heavy equipment  :bricks1: . I beleive a Camaro met it's maker in that scene! Makes you wonder if the real VP movie car is still around? Anyone know for sure?

My favorite mopar in a movie was "The Wraith." That interceptor was pure beauty and I always wondered why dodge never produced it. Only two left from my understanding. The movie itself was pretty bad, but the cars and boobies are worth 2hrs on a rainy saturday.

Ronan by far had the best chase sense with Borne Supremcy a close second (I don't know what happened, but something was lost in translation from screen to dvd.)

And of course the Dukes movie had some truly talented driving in it as well, especially in the Atlanta scenes...

That was a cool car!

I think it was a Chrysler concept car with a rear engine turbo 4 cyinder.  I think I remember seeing it on a PPG paint poster a long time ago like in the 80's.  Was it made in Australia?

Here's some pics for those who haven't seen it.
