I have been going back and forth on Indy or Eddy from Hughes. Naturally if I went Indy I would get the intake from Indy. I was talking with Dave Hughes before and right after he got his first Super Vics. He was high on the Ed head and Vic Jr. combo but when the Super came out he liked it even more. The super takes the qualities of the Vic and enhances then, like a truer run from the plenum through the runner and smoothed lines. It sounds like an axcellent single plane for the Ed heads, probably the best one. Edelbrock has always, IMO, made the most compatible combos. A guy just has to go to Edelbrock for heads, intake, and cam and he's got a whole new engine and just they tell him what packages do what and he doesn't have to research.
I am not that guy, but I think Edelbrock is better for serving those guys so well.
If I go the Indy head route and the Indy intake is too tall for an AAR hood and can't be cut enough I will be going to a Super.
It says it operates from 5000 to 8000 rpm.
