    Center hose to Carburetor

     :clueless: Can someone tell me why this hose is hook up to the center Carburetor?and is there some other kind of cap to put on there,

    That's from the bowl vent valve.  It is emissions control, probably hooks to the air cleaner
    or to a carbon canister.

    Just the vent but mine is only laying to the rear of the motor .Not hooked to anything. You need to take the plug out of it.

    it was connected to the 3 line breather on the valve cover in 71 only , it is better to have it unplugged for sure
