The video is long, but you can click ahead through it.  At the end the guy is upset cause he lost a $1000 racing a turboed Hayabusa, which have a read can get close to 500hp in street bike.

Anyway, I thought it was pretty cool to hear the turbos spooling on the GT.

Awesome video, I don't know why the guy would care about beating a Busa.  :faint:

So what's the hobby that he was talking about?  Spending money to have other people build
up his car?  At least he kept in touch with a cell phone while they were tuning it... :roflsmiley:

And then there was that guy that compared it to a Supra...  :clueless:

it was nice that they were starting with a forced induction car to begin with so they werent trying to push 20psi into and 11:1 block.  i love the GT

I've seen several Ford GT's up close, and they are really nice. I would love to own one some day.

Heffner has a 1425hp Viper SRT TT package that's pretty impressive too.

I have a friend nearby who is designing a Viper GTS/TTTT. He's hoping for over 2,000rwhp.

That car is really pretty. Seems like they are overemphasizing the importance of the engine and ignoring the chassis, however. Call me silly, but somehow I suspect increasing it from 1012 hp to 1300+ hp like they plan will make the car slower off the line. But hey, they’ll have the ultimate ricer post-race fly-by vehicle.
