I last posted here in March when I was talking about getting my '70 Cuda out of storage. I bought this car 14 years ago and it's been in storage in Wisconsin for the past 9 years. I had it transported to Abilene and got it running a few weeks ago. Drove it around the block a few times and pulled it into the garage and started tearing it down to a bare chassis for bodywork. It's a 340, 4-speed car with burnt orange metallic paint, black interior, tinted windows, ralley dash, rim blow steering wheel, and road lamps . Still has the original engine, even the original ralley wheels. Interior is decent for a 36 year old car, front bucket seats are shredded and a few cracks in the dashpad, but otherwise not bad. Trunk floor is gone with rust working its way into the lower rear quarters, which is the way it was when I put it away. I really thought there would be a lot more rust in it, but after tearing everything down the only other rust I found was in the pan under the driver's feet and around the brake booster where a bunch of leaves and crap had laid down in the vents over the years. My 15 year old son thinks we're going to restore it so he can drive it around. Yeah... right...
