Any body got a pitcure of a 71 R/T Challenger Gunmetal Grey???
« on: August 28, 2006 - 11:20:24 AM »
Guys I'm still trying to figure out what to paint my car (Im seriously fickle). I like being authentic when I can be, especially when its a matching number car, the factory orginal color of my car was Gunmetal grey but I haven't been able to find any pictures of refrence cars with this color (well, except for a few dicast pictures). Do any of you happen to have a pic or two of the 71 R/T Challenger in the Gunmetal grey?  :1zhelp: Thanks in advance.

This is from a recent local show. My apologies as it's not a good picture at all.   :pullinghair: The car really looked sweet!!

Mike, are you sure it's Gun Metal? Looks Winchester from here, maybe it's the light..... :dunno:
But if you saw it at a local show I guess you'd know for sure.

Here are a few more, though the description said "Light Gunmetal" it looks more Winchester than Gun.
Still, it gives you a rough idea of how the end result will look............

One is a 72 Challenger and the "modern" looker could be a light green but it looks Gun Metal in the photos.

Here is a picture of my GA4 Light Gunmetal 71 challenger RT. I almost change the color when I restored it and now I would not change the color for anyone.
