I do not have many photos of the '72s, I looked through them and some have it and some do not.   :clueless:

WELL I have owned 3-73's My chally a charger & a duster, & I believe that all had the RF fender pent. The reason I can be sure is I spent lots of time cleaning and polishing around the little sucker. My fenders been stripped for 20+ years but there is a hole there to mount & I have the emblem stashed somewhere, I see it from time to time.
 here's a link to a pic. if you've never seen one http://www.camacollc.com/HTML/chryslerpentatstar.jpg

it did returned in later 90s models

I just looked through a bunch of '72-'74 cars and I noticed that only a small percent of '72 cars had them.
1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

Along the way a previous owner had removed both the pentastar and the vinyl siding that came out my car.   Does anyone have info on exactly where the pentastar is located.   Yes I have an approximate idea but I want to know more before I drill a hole for a new pentastar.   Anyone have dimensions??

My '73 Challenger has the emblem, and it's the original fender. Right side only, of course.
