Curb Weight
« on: October 18, 2006 - 06:11:55 PM »
How do I find the curb weight on my 74 Barracuda?

This seems like the simplest stat, but I can't find it in the re-printed owner's manual, chassis service manual, online sources, nothing.  Am I looking in the wrong place?

I found the gross vehicle weight rating on the door (4475 total, 2240 front, 2235 rear), but that's far from curb weight.

I'm also trying to figure out how much it should weigh, since the 318/904 was removed and a 440/727 put in place.

Uh, help?  :dunno:

Go down to your local truck stop and weigh it. Almost all major truck stops have a set of scales and for a few bucks you can get a printed weight with you in the car or not. I would weigh the car with a full tank of gas to get the weight at its heaviest.
