Idle Solenoid

 :clueless: I replaced my Idle Solenoid with a show quality one.Can someone tell me how it functions?Also is the screw above the solenoid suppose to push down on it.

it is design to hold the ide speed so yes the screw is supposed to rest on it , when the key is turned off the plunger in the solinoid drops down closing the throttle to prevent run on

 :clueless: I ordered a new solenoid,and when I was adjusting the bracket I broke off the front prong.When I pushed it back in,it would not work.Can this be fixed or do I have to purchase another one?

hard to say , pull off the rubber booot , it should be possible to resolder it in place , someone hed to build it originally , can`t be that hard to fix
 personally I never use them anywya so you could just stick the connector back it & it will still look correct
