Huge difference!!  The 1970 cuda valance was made for the 70 grill and that is what supports it in the front of the car.

Quite a bit.  The 1971 header only consists of the top header panel and vertical brace in the center.  The 1970 has five vertical braces that come down to hold a filler panel.  The filler panel is positioned between the grille and bumper.
