528 Hemi. Looking for suggestions for a good street cam
« on: September 13, 2006 - 11:11:51 PM »
Hi all... I've got the Cuda all a part once again. The 383 I put together just isn't enough muscle. Its good but I need more!!!

Anyway, I'm putting together a 528 Hemi. Any suggestions on a good street cam? I'll be running TTI headers, 3:55 gears and 10:1 compression. Oh, it will have the mopar aluminum 170  cc heads.

Thanks  :ylsuper:

I have several good suggestions for you.  I need to know if you are looking for a hydraulic, solid, or roller set up.  Let me know............    :cooldancing:

I don't have the arms yet. I need to order those too. Its been a long time since I've used mechanical so I thought it would be easier to go the other way. Its not going to be used for racing and I want it reliable. I welcome the input.

If you have settled on hydraulic, then I highly recommend the following:

Racer-Brown SSH-44

I ran that grind in several 426 CI street hemi cars.  Great sounding idle, great power throughout the entire rpm range that it will see on the street.   Contact Racer-Brown and discuss it with them.  I loved mine and if I ran another hydraulic street hemi that would be the grind I would use.  Just my 0.02.......    :burnout:    :cooldancing:
