Well, just a quick update.
Good, and bad news.
I stopped by the antique shop. It was closed again, so I took the number off the door, and called it. A woman answered, to which I inquired about the 68..........no, not for sale
ok then, I'd still like to talk to your husband just to find out a little about the car. She took my number, thinking that'll be the end of that.
He called me an hour later
He said it's his daughters car, (I didn't ask further on that) The previous owner was an "an old lady who was going to donate it to the kidney foundation" (once again didn't ask further).
He said he is sending it out to be restored within the next month, and just put good tires on it to get it out of there.
Even though I could not snag it, I really hope he was being truthfull, and it will see a new life soon.
He also has a 67 notchback Barracuda he was telling me about.
I'll keep in touch with him, and see what happens.
